Working with Synonode

Scheduled tasks

Have Synonode do something later, or on repeat: a reminder at five, a check every half hour, a report every weekday morning, or /loop to run a prompt again and again.

Ask in your own words

Just say it in the chat:

  • Remind me at 17:00 to send the report.
  • Every 30 minutes, check the build and fix what broke.
  • Every weekday at 9, update the dashboard from data/latest.xlsx.

Synonode sets up a scheduled task in that project. When it's due, its message is sent into the project's chat, as if you'd typed it, and the work runs as usual.

Repeat a prompt with /loop

/loop runs a prompt again and again, as in Claude Code. The first round runs now.

  • /loop 10m check the deploy and fix what broke comes round every 10 minutes (from 1m; 2h and 1d work too).
  • /loop watch the build and tell me when it's green, with no interval, lets Synonode pace it: after each round it picks when to look again, from a minute to an hour, by how fast the thing it watches changes. It ends the loop by itself once there is nothing left to watch.
  • The prompt can be a skill: /loop 1d /research news about our competitors.
  • /loop stop ends every loop in the project.

Each round waits until Synonode is idle, and keeps its answer short: what changed since the last round, or that nothing did.

See and remove them

Type /schedule to see the project's scheduled tasks and loops, when each runs next, and remove the ones you don't want. You can also ask: stop the half-hourly check.

Good to know

  • Scheduled tasks run on your computer, so the runner must be on at that time.
  • A due task waits while something else is running in the project, then goes.
  • Quiet hours in Time and focus are about reminders to you, not about scheduled work.
